Numbness in the hand specially in the left hand and burning sensation in the foot.what causes these problems.My mother had it in 60s.

My mother was not a diabetic.some doctors said it was vitamin deficiency but even after taking multivitamin tabs regularly but no remedy for her and now i have the same problem but iam type 2 diabetic.
