TINOSPORA TUBERCULATA or GUDUCHI, has anyone tried this for diabetes. It's claimed that it can cure diabetes after taking for 8 weeks or so.
I just saw a video on youtube in Kerla language and did some search about this plant and it seems like it has some properties to reduce sugar levels. No personal experience but I was thinking to order pills since I'm not sure if I can get the plant where I live.
About 14 years ago, within three months time, I removed the insulin pump of my mother. You can easily avail those tested herbal medicines at its real price and get it delivered at your place.
what did your mom take and is she taking the herbal medicine regularly.
In those days, I read a special issue of "The Week" one of the reputed magazines in India on diabetes. It covered the interviews of dozens of people, who either enjoyed diabetes free life or removed insulin pump after consuming a herbal medicine. I desperately looked for the medicines in and around Delhi. Finally I got it in one of the shop who was specialised in herbal medicines. Since, I was aware of its effect, I started with half tablet to one tablet (morning and evening) and slowly removed the insulin pump. She was on these tablets only for more than six years. Meanwhile, the supply got disrupted, as the company's owner sold the company to someone else and she had no choice but to come back to usual allopathic medicines. Now a days, I am away from Delhi and have come to know that the production has started once again. I have ordered for said medicines and awaiting the same for myself (I too diagnosed diabetes Type-II last month) and my mom.
There is a long interesting story behind this medicine and is not easily available even in metro cities of India because most of the produced medicines are exported abroad especially to Japan. Earlier it was a long tablet but now they reduced its size on the request of Japanese. It's effectiveness is duly tested in one of the leading institutions in US.
It is very economical and a pack of 30 tablets costs around INR 165. I am trying to trace the above said magazine and shall be happy to send the details to the real needy ones (I am sorry... I don't want to indulge myself in unnecessary debate here).

I tried pills but they work very slow ( as per some it is due to processing). Leaves work very well. If you are coming to Pune anytime, I can give you a mature plant so you can try. I also used it in fever and body ache..
I'm looking it all on the internet, even the pills or powder all available on ebay etc. I have not ordered it or tried it yet. Just want to know if anyone has tried it since this plant is available in India. I know nothing more than that and the reason I put a question there is if anyone has tried it.

Mr anil shah have u tried or just saying for the sake of it. I have tried and using it very useful. I am taking giloy, neem karela and jamu powder and with no side effects.I feel very energetic and sugar under poswitive control.
op gera- what is percentage of mixture and dose thereof.
giloy and giloy ghan vati are both available with Ramdev stores.
Is Giloy available in Punjab.
do you still take your regular medicine as well.
Guduchi,giloy are the same and readily available at ayurvedic stores in india. Good for diabetics.

Nitin is correct. Diabetes can not be cured but controlled.
The information is wrong. It cannot cure diabetes but it can control the diabetes symptoms if taken alone or with some other herbs as per Ayurvedic texts.
I found patanjali brand tinospora cordifolia pills or giloy ghanvati, 80 pills for 10 dollars wonder how much they are in India. I totally understand that it's my messed up genes and may or may not be cured but what's harm in experimenting.
TINOSPORA TUBERCULATA i.e. Sansamnai Vati also popularly known as Giloy Ghanvati or Guduchi . It is a very effective and result oriented Ayurvedic Drug which is not even controls the Sugar levels but also maintain the same without any SIDE EFFECTS. Regular use of which is reducing alopathy dose of patients.
This should be administered with combination of Chandraprabbahvati. Un even BS level and continuous insulin users for more than 10 years are benefited from this Aushadies.
In compare to Allopathy drugs this very chip option to control Sugar levels.
My wife is on insulin( 12,16 & 10 units ) and lantus 34 unt.since Nov.last year. Still after evening BS is 250 plus . Tries all alternatives. Will Giloy and vati help ? pls advise.
I bought the pills giloy ghan vati yesterday and took 1 in the middle of the day and it did bring my sugar down from average before supper 140 to 80. I'm will still take my regular pill and cut down 1 at a time if required. I'm on trial.
Mahesh when you say fresh tinospora does it mean the plant which I can grow, like the stem I guess which is used to grwo the plant or do you mean you can send the leaves.
I thought I'll bother my son about this plant who is a medical student and away from home, to help me understand this plant's properties and what not and this is the answer I got from him.
"no it will not "repair" your pancreas, it will help it regulate your insulin. Your diabetes is from your insulin receptors being insensitive so your insulin doesnt take away your blood sugar like it should. basically this plant or whatever is working like metformin, its stopping the biochemical reaction that makes sugar in your body just like the pills do. Best thing for u is always diet and exercise. This plant does have anti oxidant properties too which means its helpful in removing cancer cells which we all have".
Please don't do business with the needy people. tinospora tuberculata powder is available easily in India. I buy its powder @ Rs. 20 for 250 gms.
The reason I am skeptical is that first time I reversed readings within three weeks without any diabetic medicine whatsoever and for three months the reversal was monitored and confirmed. Second time it came in pre diabetes range within 4 or 6 weeks but I did not monitor. This year, after a quick drop in five days, my HBA1C has been coming down at an average of 0.175% per week (it is down from 11.6% to 7.2% and now I often get 120 within four hours a meal). This plant is easily available in nurseries specialized in medicinal plants &can be grown in the backyard or even in a pot. The nurseryman will help in proper care. The efficacy of the plant is well documented in aurvedic literature. However, expert advise is necessary.
It is making results in(KERALA) sales and there is scarcity in availability..i have bought three saplings and planted also making experiment on close relative - he is using insulin - some others got result - experience is knowledge - own experience make more believable.
