In acupuncture needles are not pierced into the eyes but gently driven towards activating the correct nerve point where the weak inner body cells are rejuvenated. Acupuncture needles are thin like our hair and during the process one will never feel pain. Thanks for being on line and sharing your thoughts.

I certainly would not rely on acupuncture for my eye care.Modern science is so advanced in this field that you can safely rely on allopathy.

Every diabetic patient should consult an ophthalmologist once in every six months. Diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration and cataract may cause blindness. The eye vision once lost is difficult to recover.

There are some good accupuncture specialists in India. You can check the following link:

I have also heard about Dr J K Dixit who practices in Mumbai but travels all over India on specified days. He specialises in treating blood sugar. Check the link below to know more details:

My concern was is there a acupuncture specialist available for consultation because in USA there are doctor's who has mastered this Chinese art(Acupuncture) of finding a way out and unlock the unsolved mystery and I was shocked in reading that one of the doctor has shown a successful record of retaining further damage to vision/Retina.on patience's who came to him for treatment. My curiosity is if doctors in USA can practice acupuncture, why it is not possible in India. I,m sure to find the best possible solution. Thank-you for allowing me to converse with you and share my thoughts

Pranic healing can reduce the damage. My master in Adyaar is an expert - u can get in touch with him -His office number- 91- 44- 24419021. He is in India, Chennai. I am also a pranic healer. first u get suggestion from him. if he permits, i can do. No need to attend in person. just talk to him. he wl assess the problem and give suggestion.

Thanks - kms suryaa, I will have a word with your master and then keep in-touch with you.

Eye massager is a very good device to sooth you eyes. It loosens strained eye muscles and promotes blood circulation in the eyes. The device is very helpful. It is available on site "gizmobaba.com" I have purchased it for the last three months and I found it to be very useful for relaxation of my eyes.

Hi-Kailadiyer-I have my next appointment on 29/09/2013 with Dr. Narendran/Ophthalmologist my previous discussion with him regarding his advise on acupuncture was not in my favour, because he has not studied acupuncture, no-advise. I have already been injected 2nd-times in my left eye, my left vision is showing some effect, that's the reason I am in HealthUnlocked trying to make efforts in getting close enough to control the loss of vision. Thanks

Hello Kalmai

We are practicing Pranayam from past 15 days. We observed that irritations in eye were slowly subsiding. But it depends on the intensity of Pranayam and how you practice it. As George said working on the side effects is temporary I purely agree with him. Because they keep recurring as long as the Sugar levels are not kept under control. Accupressure would surely help in keeping check on the loss of vision as long as we do it regularly. But Pranayam is the key to keep a check on sugar levels. If you can practice Anulom Vilom for half an hour and KapalBhati for half an hour you will start observing a gradual improvement in the situation starting from the first week. For how to do this you can check Ramdev baba's videos on youtube.

Wish you good health.

Hello-George - Hope your judgement at this point of time is not very effective and sounds some what moving away from what we are really trying to benefit by coming together and opening ourselves to each other as if we are one family, my intentions are not to draw anyone's attention to acupuncture. I am sad my thoughts are not like yours and I cannot think like you, Of-course the experience what you have in this field is more wider than mine as I am just learning how to merge with people from all walks of life and learn more about protecting my vision and nothing else. Your advise is good and I do appreciate your guidance. Hoping-your suggestions and help will be always recorded and applied for a fruitful purpose.

It is simply because of the propaganda of people, supposedly knowledgeable, against fat in relation to CVD, I suppose.
