but now a days, Pioz is banned, what other should be appropriate for me my ppbs is 115, fpbs 95, H1abc-6.9, please refer medicine

You are having good control.Better approach your doctor to prescribe an alternative.

The Health Ministry has revoked its earlier suspension on the diabetes drug, and has allowed the manufacture and prescription of pioglitazone and its formulations. However, it has stipulated that the agent should not be used as first-line treatment for diabetes and that it should carry a boxed warning relating to bladder cancer.

Fasting blood sugar (FBS) level should be less than 100 mg/dL. Post-prandial blood sugar (PPBS) level should be less than 140 mg/dL. HbA1c level must be less than 7%. It would be much better if HbA1c level is less than 6.5%.

Your FBS level, PPBS level and Hba1c level are good.

Periodical tests to be conducted by a diabetic patient.

A: HbA1c. HbA1c is a lab test that shows the average level of blood sugar (glucose) over the previous 3 months. It shows how well you are controlling your diabetes.

B: Control your high Blood pressure, if any. Normal blood pressure- <120/80 mmHg.

C: Control your blood Cholesterol: Normal cholesterol < 200 mg/dL. LDL <100 mg/dL HDL > 40 mg/dL Triglyceride < 150 mg/dL.

D: Diabetic education. Dental check-up should be done in every six months.

E: Eye examination for glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and cataract.

F: Foot examination (Diabetic neuropathy and diabetic foot ulcers)

G: Glucose monitoring. Fasting or postprandial blood sugar may be checked daily and avoid foods that elevate blood sugar.

H: Health maintenance immunization against influenza and pneumococcal pneumonia.

I: Indications for specialty care. Heart, kidney and liver should be checked periodically by concerned specialists.(Once in a year).

* Overall, the risk for death among people with diabetes is about twice that of people of similar age without diabetes.

* Adults with diabetes have heart disease death rates about 2 to 4 times higher than adults without diabetes.

* The risk for stroke is 2 to 4 times higher among people with diabetes.

Pioz was banned earlier, but now the Govt. has probably lifted the ban. Please check and get adequate advice from the Doctor before you switch to branded Pioz, you have been consuming earlier.

You cannot get a better advice above what Gangadharan Nair's comments.I would further request you to go on water therapy,sweating exercises according to your ability and avoidance of unnecessary worries.

Vidagliptin,Stibagliptin are better drugs available. with added metformin you may take on advice of your doctor.
