Diabetes mellitus type 2 may be controlled by diabetic diet, aerobic exercise, anti-diabetic medication and diabetes education.

If you do not have tendency of being hypoglycemic, please try to bring HBA1C to 6.5% without medicines. From over 60% calories through carbohydrates, I now take up to 35%, increased fats and fibers + doubled daily walk and increased food intake to over 8 times per twenty four hours (2 snacks between dinner and breakfast) and my HBA1C came down from 11.6% to 6.4% without medication in about 150 days.
