hi, I've just been informed by our local dentist that because my children aged 14 & 12 have missed 5 appointments in the last 5 years they have been removed from the practise. I can accept responsibility for this and have apologised( they would not listen to my excuses), but they have said that my children can stay with the practise if we pay for there future treatment( I did offer to pay for appointments missed). This can't be right can it? please advise

Unfortunately they can do this. If appointments are missed and not cancelled in advance that is a wasted appointment that someone else could have taken. They are probably offering private treatment as there is more incentive to turn up if you are paying for it.
