Hello, hope everyone is having a great day!

I am a 4th year engineering student and this year I am doing my individual project on re-designing a smoke/fire alarm for people who have hearing impairments or are deaf. I joined this group as it would be amazing to have some feedback or information on what people currently use. My two main questions would be;

1. What could be designed better, problems you have encountered with fire alarms/smoke detectors in terms of hearing.

2. What you currently use for waking up while sleeping in the event of a fire alarm.

I would really appreciate some comments or feedback. Would really be helping me out a lot!
