Cochlear implants

Can anyone please tell me can I get refused implants after giving hearing aids a good try for months? ,

It all depends on the benefit you get from the hearing aids also adults can only get 1 cochlear implant on the nhs, children get 2 or people with other disabilities e.g being blind because they rely on hearing more. If you fit the criteria and dont get enough benefit from aids the implant team wont refuse you if its what you need.

Hello Tucker71, just thought i would message to see how you are, how did you manage with the hearing aids and did you manage to speak to ENT about a cochlear implant? Hope you are beginning to feel better its been a long 15 months for me but i am finally able to go back to work, on reduced hour but its a start, i start back on the 13th July so if i can do it anybody can. Still not back to where i was before meningitis and hearing loss but getting there slowly.
