Who saw "Love and other drugs", the 2010 romantic comedy with a PD theme?

AS a brand-new parkie I saw this movie twice and thought it had some positive messages about our ridiculous disease. Any opinions out there?

I did, it was really good. When I chose it from Netflix, I had no idea it was about Parkinson's.

Yes, it was good to see a Hollywood movie show the life of a young onset parkie. Pretty realistic.

It took a hard look at the pharmaceutical industry too.

good review by a pd guy:

It has nudity and swearing, spoiler alert. I LOVED it. The Parkies demonstrating brought tears to my eyes and I think Anne Hathaway captured it as a YOPD trying to open her pills after a scene!

Oh, it is very sexy, take care who you see it with. I saw it on a DVD from from Spain (I won it in a parkinson poetry contest) and the package sported the solemn warning that it was inappropriate for children under seven years of age!

I'm curious. Does Viagra help when you have PD? I think I'm too old for Viagra anyway, so I guess It doesn't make any difference. Just curious.

I don't know :) but the movie's point about Viagra was that millions were spent and earned on Viagra and on PD--eh, not so much!

It was a great movie

went to the cinema with my husband . we enjoyed it . there was alot of comedy and it made me laugh but also cried . it was very well put together to show that even young people can have parkinsons and i wish that there was more films like it to raise awareness .

I enjoyed the movie. It hit on so many truths. All the tests. I agree not to be watched with young people. I laughed and I cried. I had early onset. My husband could not deal with the PD and divorced me after being married for

37 years.

37 years, and then he can't stay the course. That's cold.

Best wishes to you and thx for your note.
