Do you think he needs a drug re-evaluation It just sounds such a lot of the drug n a daily basis
My new program is Carbid 25/100 plus Requip 2mg at least 6 times a day. All this is doing is leveling the shaky, right leg movement field. And this is the 3rd change up this year. And I go back again to see Doc tomorrow.
I know what your husband is experiencing, my shakes keep getting worse too.
Your husband is on 500mg L Dopa /day which isn't excessive at all. Its hard to know whats really happening for him but I notice my shakes appear if I am undermedicated or due for another dose. This condition progresses and we often just have to keep adjusting meds. Ie increase or add to them to cope with the changes. You may find a diary handy to see if there is a pattern. Does he shake constantly or only at certain times, just after taking meds or when his next dose is due etc? It would help decide what is happening and what to do next.
It's constant. It stops only when he is in a deep sleep but after an hour or two comes back and wakes him up. He takes his last tablet at 12 midnight others in four hourly intervals.
He has trouble holding a cup of tea even though we got one with a lid on and am looking to get a fork and knife combined as I cut his meat up for him so its easier at mealtimes for him. Every day there seems to be something different with PD doesn't there but we always find a way round these things
