Are you a Vet? If so you can get free healthcare and meds.

No. Everything is "out of pocket". I have one more renewal on my meds and then I have to start looking for a new doctor.

How old are you? Can you apply for Social Security disability or Medicaid? Don't rule anything out until you've talked to people - you may be surprised what you do qualify for if your yearly income + savings are small enough.

I'm 64. Already collecting S.S. I've applied for Disability and was turned down because I don't have enough work credits. I was a Mr Mom. They don't tell you these things...

If your assets and savings are small enough or nonexistent, you could apply for Medicaid which pretty much pays for everything. What would be an issue would be if you own your home, or have an IRA/401k type savings.
