To all of you in Parkieland, I am wishing you a joyous holiday season also. The beauty of the lights, and other decorations have lifted my spirits and I hope the same is true for you. Initially, I didn't feel much like decorating. I was exhausted and the dismal weather didn't help. But when the packages came out to be wrapped and I sat at the computer to send out my email Christmas cards, my attitude began to turn. In came the tree and my husband mostly decorated it because I couldn't stand and bend. It is beautiful! Just when I was about to begin feeling sorry for myself for having to decline social invitations, I realized I should be down on my knees giving thanks for having such a wonderful husband and partner always ready to take over the tasks I once was able to accomplish with vigor. He is my "forever" Christmas gift and with all of the horrible things which have taken place this year, I am even more grateful for what I have. Many thanks and much love to all of you who have listened to me over the years and offered such support and advice. Standing together, as we do, makes our fight with PD so much easier. All of you out there please know you are not alone. One of us (or more, usually) is always ready to step up and help when possible. So, to one and all, a very Merry Christmas and Happier, healthier New Year.

Much love,

Jenny

It is Christmas here in Australia and I have had a great meal with the family. If it wasn't for the wearing off of the red wine I would be great

I made it to 2 holiday parties and hosted a potluck at my Buddhist meeting. Today I'm hosting a family brunch to a family that is almost not speaking. :) I better start cooking when my toes unclench and I can stand up. 2 stressful things: my neuro has not called the pharmacy and I'm out of sinemet. On a holiday! I brought a box of wrapping paper up from the basement and started wrapping. Noticed odd droppings and discovered a giant roach! EEEk. Shoved it out in the hall. Hope the neighbors aren't mad. Have a happy, every one!
