This piece made me think of the questionaire I recieved on here Monday

I did wonder if such as health Professionals take note of these things.

With these questions the answers are black or white when in reality your ticking a box that may be near enough to your experience but not accurate. Too many shades of grey between the two. Therefor when the people who sort out all the bumph from these questionaires come to side it all up, I suspect most of the information is giving a false answer.

I got a short way with the questionaire then realised I was unable to go on with it, as it was utterly pointless and useless to anyone.

If such as these things end up as Governement statistics they give a complete false view of people suffering PD.

Can you please elaborate more about your general question vs statement with some specific instances regarding patients and Dr.'s not agreeing on improvent? Thank you.

It seems to me that the assumption is that we are all sedentary seniors when we are diagnosed and our loss of function starts from semi sedentary .

I was an active runner and biker when I was diagnosed at age 45. , I had completed a triathlon, a marathon, a metric century bike ride .and many shorter races in the 3 yeas prior to my diagnosis. And so I find that my loss of physical ability is much

More And so when people ay you're

doing so well " I agree but In the back of my mind I wonder how fast I'd be running now without. PD.

I totally agree! I took up ballroom dancing at 54 and was getting really good when symptoms appeared at 62, dx at 64 and now I'm walking ?!? with a walker or cane. Longevity runs in my family. I hate to think I have 20 more years of this ! Unacceptable! So when my neuro says I'm doing so well, I want to punch him :D
