Call a lawyer. There may be something you can do.
How old are you and where do you live? If in US, did you apply for SS DBL?
Some of the answers to your question will depend on the outcome of the presidential election.
Do you live in Grant County, N.M?
If you live in the US you can apply for Social Security Disibility. My husband received it at age 55. We had applied once and were denied. We got a lawyer and applied again but before he had to do anything they approved it!! It was truely a blessing!! He had a back injury at work and could no longer work. They had a rule that with his injury and his age of 55 they automatically approved him! We still don't quite understand it but are very very thankful!! The PD showed it's ugly face with tremors one month after he was injured.
If you can't get that then I have a sister who uses Well Med Insurance. I don't know if they are all over the county but it is worth a try. I understand that they get a discounted price for everything and then they pay a part of the bill and you can make payments on the balance. The meds are also done this way.
Hope this helps you. God Bless!!!
Thanx 4 the great answers! do appreciate the Help... I am 45 years old.. I am on SS but it is not a lot of money.. I live in Nevada... the SS department said, " I can't get Medicare 4 two years.... I really need insurance because I get some real bad PD bouts... Plus the darn RX drugs 4 Parky is so high! I will check out that Well Med..
If you go to (Name of your drug).com the drug companies will help you with your meds- may even provide free. The sites have a help or resource tab and you can down;load the application. If you get denied, then appeal. They are very helpful and have helped many of the patients in the practice I work for.
If in NYS you can try Fidelis. They help you get on Medicaid. Good luck & for SSID you might need a lawyer. Good luck.
What a great site this is with such wonderful participants...you all ROCK!!
