Hello, My name is Tracie. I am 41, I was diagnosed with Parkinson's at 32yrs old. I am in the cigar business, which I love. I enjoy cigars and they are my "coping mechanism".. I have found that in my business I can share my story of how relaxing with a cigar eases tremors and soothes the mind. In the days of Indians, tobacco was used for medicinal purpose.. Today there is much controversy with tobacco due to many additives in cigarettes.. However, Cigars are all natural and ONLY tobacco. No chemicals are added unless its a "flavoring" which I personally do not care for. I hope to share my story and passion for cigars to others, and also incorporate my fundraiser through the cigar industry to further research and experiment with Stem cell treatments.

Tracie,

Thank you for your comment. Did you know that there are some research done in France and the UK about the benefits of nicotine for the reductions of symptoms in Prakinson 's patients?

Hey tracie

I have a cigar every night when time allows My wife noticed that the nights that I dont my legs are very restless I thought that it was a me thing but there might be some science behind my cigar What is your favorite

It sounds wonderful and especially if it works for you unfortunately I can feel myself turning green (not with envy, Cigars make me so very sick)

I wish you all the best.

I smoked for years (cigaretts) I finally managed to quit and within a year I was diagnosed with PD. They say nicotine will help prevent PD but never have I heard that it helped the symptoms once you had the stuff. I know there is some kind of smokeless cigarette on the market, I think it is water vapor and does contain nicotine. I would love to try it but hate to get hooked on nicotine again. I did meet oner person who had PD and still smoked so now I am very confused. .

I am also a cigar "enjoyer". Or should be I also enjoy cigars. If I can take time or if I make time to really enjoy one, (can be as much as two hours ••• maybe more) I find myself able to relax and tremors generally are the least at that point as well.

I am interested in the correlation and think it does need more advanced study. I would be happy to be in he study if you hear of one. A good cigar is my passion! A true religion of sorts.
