The original protocol was devised by Dr Constantini and there is a lot of information on this site under the search facility. For me,Dr Constantino's recommendation of B1 HCL is the safest to follow as I was able to read up on more information and Dr Constantini used it with a large number of his patients.

I found it essential to understand the refeeding syndrome.

Daphne has her version which she says uses sublingual B1. For me this is a problem because at the time of my research sublingual B1 was not produced Although it dissolves under the tongue it is not absorbed from there into the blood stream and goes through the stomach. For it to dissolve and absorb into the bloodstream it would have to be micro lingual. B1 is not produced as a micro lingual product at the moment.

Both protocols can be found on this site and each protocol requires trial and error to get to the best dose. You should do your own research, read as much as you can and come to your own conclusions. Best of all luck and let us all know how you get on.

PS

I am not an expert in any way. I have been taking B1 HCL for quite a few years with excellent results

May I suggest you read daphnes book again as she covers in detail sublingual, microlingual and b1 HCL and does not promote a specific type but shares all options. The sublingual/microlingual actually enters through the mucus membrane in the mouth and not through the stomach like HCL does. As you suggest everyone should do their own research but Superior Source b1 is registered as microlingual. So it is available online from Pure Formulas.

Hi there, I am not doubting that people have had success with Daphne's method. Dr Constantini treated a large number of people over many years with B1 HCL so at this time been I will stay with the B1 HCL .

you could take a look at the book “ parkinsons and the b1 therapy” available from Amazon. Before publishing, the book was checked by Dr Costantini‘s colleagues.

It is a manual on the protocol

Thank you. Have Dr Constantini 's colleagues endorsed the book?

Yes. They were very complimentary about the book. They read the draft before publication. They only asked me to change one thing. I had recommended a 3-7 day break after overdose. They said that Dr C had recommended 1-2 weeks. I made the change before publication. Marco Colangeli, who helped Dr C with his published studies, wrote my foreword.
