Hypnotic treatment may attenuate or stop Parkinson's symptoms

When I speak of bombarding our subconscious with information that erases any possibility of present, past, or future trauma or eliminates the presence of disease by incorporating new virtual realities of well-being that the unconscious realm does not recognize as unreal, I do so because I find evidence that this constant "recreating health" can have a direct impact on a continuous stimulation of the placebo itself.

The article specifies:

"69-year-old patient with past health history and a 10-year course of Parkinson's disease, with no personal pathological history (PPP) of Parkinson's disease

Overt symptoms: Marked rigidity, slurred speech, sialorrhea as well as dyspeptic disorders, nausea and vomiting, in addition to severe gait disturbances, osteomyoarticular pain, nervousness and insomnia

In the psychological order: depression, anxiety, difficulty in oral expression, psychomotor disorders and limited validism.

The patient's anamnesis showed that for work reasons he had suffered two events associated with acute stress, in one of which he almost lost his life in the midst of an armed conflict.

In these circumstances, we proposed to the patient to apply a hypnotic treatment, explaining the characteristics of the method and clarifying that we were not certain about the effectiveness that could be achieved.

The results were surprising both for me and for the doctor who assisted him and the family members present in each of the sessions carried out. The treatment led to:

Improvement of the emotional state and psychological balance of the patient and his family members.

Increase in self-confidence.

Remission of the symptoms of rigidity in a 90%.

Validism at 100%.

Balance in gait and maintenance of upright posture"

What do you mean by "validism"?

The key portions have already been provided in translation in the above post. Translation of the full article to English: mitesis-ec.translate.goog/e...

This is a single case report and we are not informed as to duration of the observed remission. There is another case report here: tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10....

And another here: hypnosisaustralia.org.au/wp...

All very interesting. I'm not convinced these treatments are disease modifying. They may simply be improving patients' ability to cope. It is also the case that when I get into deep meditation it seems that my tremors decrease. So hypnosis might be effective for something like this. A small trial would be in order.
