Here's a poem I wrote not long after my diagnosis😭.Im amazed how much I have improved in 18 months. I haven't read it since. KETO and fasting for me has been a game changer.

Parkinson’s Disease

Pity I see in your eyes

Anger I try to hide

Rigid cage of muscle and bones, where my heart resides

Knackered body, I feel myself slide

Images of my shaking dribbling mess

Negative thoughts, I can’t forget

Sabotaging the time I have left

Overwhelming symptoms now add up

Neurotransmitters I’m told are defunct

Sinemet the wonder drug a new comfort

Dopamine levels low and falling

Irrational thoughts leave me bawling

Sadness forever calling

Extinguished lights in my brain

Apathy another link in this chain

Sean, you give me sunshine again

Emotions of fear you undo

I think I will make it because of you
