I am just so tired of all those forums with complaining and negative comments surrounding Parkinson’s. Yes, facing Parkinson’s is an everyday challenge, but mindset is everything. Look at wat you still can be in life, not what you lost!
To be around positive people with a can-do mindset I opened a Facebook-groep with the title Parkinson’s Silver Linings. Join us if you want to contribute!

I totally agree. We opened a European Centre (European Parkinson Therapy Centre) to promote the positive side of Parkinson's and how we can fight back EFFECTIVELY and improve quality of life.. You are what you think, eat and do!
Definitely and I wish there was a similar establishment here in London. Your European Parkinson Centre is brilliant and before lockdown we came for a week! All experts in one place and so inspirational, knowledgeable, and supportive. Amazing 🤩.
Thanks for the positive reinforcement! My experience reveals that success in coping, comes with a positive attitude! Having and dwelling in a negative frame of mind, is a waste of valuable time, that can defeat one’s ability to cope, and be able to handle the progression of Parkinson’s symptoms!
Well said, totally agree, its hard enough working thro and living with this condition, doesnt help PWP or carers keep a positive attutude when we reading negative posts . Would like to join your forum as my hubby has Parkinsons but no link .Positivity and attitude does help. Take care and thank you.
What a lovely idea! Just before your post caught my attention I was actually reflecting on this deep beauty I am seeing in my mom who has Parkinson. I have always been super close to my mom and simply am seeing this gentler lovely side to her since dealing with PD. Something beautiful is emerging as she moves with this challenge. Thank you for your positivity to suggest finding silver linings.
It's OK to have the occasional "woe is me" attitude but one must shake it off and think positively in order not to go down the rabbit hole. May need help to get out!
Treat each day as a new day. Then, if the last hour was bad, start fresh at that moment to improve the day and do the best you can. Tired? Read a book. Listen to books on tape or your favorite radio station. Do chair exercises, Tai Chi from chair, move your body, learn something new - whatever you can to keep your mind, body and soul going. Go on HU to learn new things and read the successes of others - all positive things one can do.
silverliningsandparkinsons.... "Silver Linings and Parkinsons"s my blog address. But the3 name I gave my Blog is Standing Up To Parkinsons. and I always suggest people who have recently received a diagnosis.... & diagnosed/ and read her letter.... Ive'
(Sorry) I blame the interruption on my Parky hands.. I was suggesting yo click on the button next to the home button and read what a therapist wrote. I've had my diagnosis for four or five years and I read it every so often, and still find it motivating.
