For the last few weeks I have been having severe drawing pains in my legs and although I have difficulties with my balance,I have just about managed to walk a few yards with the aid of my Walker. I am now finding it difficult to walk only a few steps after which I can’t seem to lift my feet off the floor !! They feel like a ton weight and my husband who is my sole carer cannot possibly carry me ,he is 76 and has back problems himself. I am so afraid ai will soon not to be able to walk at all. Has anybody else got the same problems?

I don’t really know what to recommend other than, if your doctor is unable to address your problem, ask him/her to recommend somebody who is able.
BTW: Beautiful pic of you and your grandchild!
Thankyou! I’m afraid to say I don’t think my doctors are a great deal of help, they are normally temporarily and all my old doctors seem to have retired. I have been with the same surgery for over 50 years but there doesn’t seem to be any follow up with them like checking blood pressure etc. They don’t appear to do any follow up checks and seeem to work on the principal that if you don’t bother them, they don’t bother with you, I appreciate they are very busy but that doesn’t help me!
Thank you for writing in with your question. I'm sure a lot of people are experiencing what you are. My husband is (PWP), and although his waking is fine, I'm very aware of what I think you are experiencing as "freezing" .
Although not positive based on the "pain" you wrote.
But if I may, here's a couple of suggestions you might try to see if it helps with your walking.
1. Turn music on that you like and just listen before you start to move. When you " feel" the music, start walking and try to take a step with the beat of the music . If you're not sure, feel the rhythm and let that be your guide to pace.
2. If you have a phone with different apps, find one with a metronome (the instrument musicians use to keep time.
If you can get it, start it fairly slow and try to step with each "tic" .
If you don't have a metronome, and you have a flashlight, turn on the flashlight and tape it to your walker and face it about 10 feet in front of you. Start walking and with the light focused ahead of you, you'll never catch up to it.
3. Count to yourself or out loud and concentrate on the numbers, not your steps, and try walking with your count.
The hardest thing will be not to have the "wait for it" feeling the any minute your leg will ", not work" that's why having an outside stimulus to concentrate on might help your brain and nervous system from centering on the " fear of...," mode.
In regards to your Dr ", non care! Are there other Dr's around for you to go to?
You're supposed to be THEIR priority. Not just insurance paying them for their time. Insist, be vocal, short of demanding be frank and proactive for YOUR sake!!
Please write and give a report of how you are and your husband as well.
Take good care!!
I had similar issues. Pain in legs and thighs and burning feet. After 2-3 weeks on Gabapentin it has gotten much better. Now maybe leg and foot paid about 1-3 days a month. Was every day for at least 2-3 months.
Are you taking a statin drug for high cholesterol as muscle pain and damage is a common symptom associated with statin use. Heaviness of the legs and pain in the legs are seen with statins.

Memory issues are also another symptom associated with statin use.
