I take a different moral from this story. This is about the hell that patients have to go through to get a diagnosis for a recognized but somewhat uncommon problem. Patients have died or ended up seriously damaged from repeated failure to diagnose cancer until it was too late. Until such time as doctors' proficiency at diagnosis is tracked and reported these errors will persist. I did a search of YouTube videos on the subject and the list was endless. Here is one such story, by an M.D.:
