I have learned to gradually wind down my day by showering and getting into sleep clothes before dinner, and ceasing screen time one hour before bed. No alcohol at all and no caffeine after noon.

Lionore, I also put PJs on right before dinner. Reading in bed before I sleep also seems to help.
