Hi I too am caring for my husband who was diagnosed with PD this year. What a rollercoaster as he was misdiagnosed with many other disorders. This is a great site. I think the people he are generally more upbeat than the folks on some of the US PD sites. A bit more information on complementary/alternative treatments too. Stay well!

Good Morning. My name is John Pepper. My Pd symptoms started in 1963. I was only diagnosed with Pd in 1992 and put onto Pd medication. By 2002 , because of all the actions taken subsequent to my diagnosis, I was able to come off my Pd medication and have lived a normal life since then. I am now 86 years old and have helped a lot of people deal with many of their Pd movement symptoms.

If you Google my name and make contact with me, I will send you my videos and lots of information as to how I went about doing this, I do not charge anything for this service.

Hi nanamyskouri1, you'll find some good stuff here, and some polarising views, but beware of claims that you can manage Parkinson's medication free. It's always best to check anything you'd like to do with your neurologist, especially when it's about medication.

It is my husband with PD also. I'm not his caregiver though I do research for him. Throughout the years he has been my helper because of my fibromyalgia. In that sense it's a little different, although at some point this situation comes to most all of us.

We are using LDN and high dose thiamine therapies at this point. I agree with Sydney75 that this is a great site. I love it and probably you will too.
