I appreciate Marc's idea but I'm afraid that creating a second group will help impoverish our wonderful community. In fact, I fear that everything that will be discussed in Marc's group will not be transferred to HU with the consequent loss of valuable information for all members. It's my feeling.
HU is already a support group.: I... - Cure Parkinson's
HU is already a support group.
Hear, hear!
I have nothing against people wanting to connect more face to face, if they choose to do so. We're all different in our preferences/personalities and some just do better with live interactions to deal with loneliness than others who desire more anonymity. No matter, this forum isn't going anywhere so please don't feel like you're being left out.
Fed, at least 12 people agree with you. Surely, more do too, and I don't want to do anything to divide the group, so I have canceled it.
Hey Marc (and everyone),
I am one of the people who "liked" Fed1000's post in which they raised concerns about a Zoom meeting "competing" with HU.
I "liked" it because I thought it was a valid point worth considering.
I DIDN'T mean it as a vote against having a Zoom meeting. In fact, I feel a little bit sad that the initiative is getting shut down because of it.
I spent a lot of time on Reddit, a platform where upvotes are (ideally) given to posts and comments which add to a discussion. It doesn't necessarily mean you agree with them 100%.
I can't speak for other people, but I just want to clarify my own "like".
If Health Unlocked intends to move forward with its own face to face conferancing than I agree that you should not proceed. However it is not reasonable to hold back a test of the idea out of "fear" of the unknown. You are not releasing the hounds , maybe rabbits.
I would vote to run the test meetings and then analyze what benefits resulted. Holding back the future is eventually impossible.
Now I ask you, would you not like to meet Enidah and Fed in person? I know that I would.
What has been Health unlocked offical position.
