Carbi/Levo Reminder

Was wondering if anyone who is taking meds every 3 to 4 hours has found a good way to remember to take their pills?

I've been using the alarm on my iphone which is OK during the day but at night I've found myself turning off the alarm (half asleep) and not getting up to take the pills. Makes the mornings very slow.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

My husband uses a Apple Watch with alarms set on it . He takes medication in the night but has it by the side of the bed so he doesn’t have to get up

Thank you. If I turn up the volume a bit, if the alarm is at the bedside, it should be loud enough to wake me up.

For daytime pills I get ALEXA to remind me every three hours.

I put my pills out in a little dish on my bathroom counter so I see them whenever I pee!

Also if I notice I feel crappy it means I’m late on my pills! I’m notorious for being busy with something when my iPhone alarm goes off so that doesn’t help much.

Also, my Neuro put me on long actingC/L at bedtime; seems to help.

Breakfast, lunch, dinner times- half hour before, is how I usually plan it. If I start forgetting, I set the alarm on my IPhone to each time, each day, and then I have an alarm to remind me, until I get back in the habit.

I use an app “pill reminder” on my iPhone. I take 9 half tablets a day so it works well for not only a reminder but also a check off.

I’m on long term levocarb that lasts 8 hours through the night so I don’t have to get up and i know when it is close to taking my pills during the day because my neck and jaw get really tense

Try putting your phone next to the sink so you have to get up tp turn it off.

I use an app called Mr. Pillster, it is the easiest one that I have found.

I used to use alarms on my iPhone but I switched to my simple Fitbit. It vibrates on my wrist every four hours (except at night when I take C/L ER). This way neither I nor my husband are jarred by loud alarms during the day.

I also use a fitbit vibrating alarm. But sometimes miss when out and about or sleeping. I have a service dog trained to "pester" me until she sees me swallow my meds. It's especially helpful if I have trouble waking up because the dog will persist until I've complied.
