Although it was focused on protection of the CNS from viruses, i took hope from the statement that neurons responsible for smell can renew. I'd love a proper sense of smell back. It keeps teasing me...it is better right now. Improved but nowhere near right. Maybe there's hope

This may be coinidence but on similar lines - when I was 6 my baby sister died next to me with Meningitis. Very traumatic.

I love babies and never miss an opportunity for a cuddle, in fact breaking my neck 😄.

In my thirties a woman brought her baby into work.

I had a violent reaction that pushed me away from going near the baby. Very odd and I was very confused by it.

Next day we had word that the baby was in ICU with Meningitis x

I read recently that nose hairs are a line of defense against Covid 19. As a woman of a certain age, I learned that any hairs in the “wrong” part of my body, that is anywhere but on the head and around the privates have to be ruthlessly plucked, shaved, waxed or otherwise eliminated. Now I’m determined to overlook the nose hairs or maybe just cut any long ones.

Covid has taken away my bangs (don’t work with a face mask), long nails (too hard to clean when hands are washed 20 plus times a day), makeup(gets on the face mask) and dressing up (no need when stuck at home, except to be seen from a safe distance by my neighbors and their dogs). I fully expect to emerge from lockdown looking like a throwback to our Neanderthal ancestors.

Oh and jewelry, forget about it! Earrings catch when putting on a mask, and rings get in the way when scrubbing hands. Fortunately SO cuts my hair. Cue world’s smallest violins😂
