Small nippy and fun!

I have been using this type of lightweight folding wheelchair for 5 years, 24/7 365, and I think they are amazing as they have allowed me to do SO much more than I would have done in my old NHS power chair with a lead acid battery. I like to refer to them as "Liberty".

Very importantly - small and nippy enough to get around shops or to get down narrow hallways, navigate 90 degree turns in your house, Lift etc

The fact that these chairs are happy indoors or outdoors and can be put in any car or can go on planes or trains give you so much liberty. They are also ideal for cruise ships as there's so much distance to cover between cabin and restaurants or cabin and pool etc. They are also narrow enough to zip up and down the hallways. All of a sudden, the inacessible becomes accessible and the accessible becomes fun!

These lightweight folding wheelchairs have been on the market for some years now so second-hand parts are becoming more commonplace on websites like ebay.

Although this chair is brand new, there are a couple of scratches or chips when it was shipped from China to the UK. You can see this damage in the pictures. Obviously it is only cosmetic and and does not affect it's performance. The price has been adjusted to allow for this.

comes complete with Bluetooth remote control handset and charger

This one is available to ship from the UK immediately. Due to the weight and size of the package it would be far easier and cheaper to collect in person. Otherwise delivery will be £39 within mainland UK. Parts of Scotland and non mainland UK will attract a surcharge.

Pete, I'm in U.S. but this chair is exceptionally well designed for travel. Who manufactures it? I assume its made in England, do they sell and service overseas?

It’s actually Chinese which I imported to England. Your local Powerchair shop would be able to service it but you would have to provide the parts if it needs parts. These are available either from the manufacturer in China or you can get them from eBay because these chairs are quite popular nowadays. This one is manufactured by WT medical who you will find on Alibaba.com . The cost of importing will more than double the cost of the chair.

But yes they are ideal for travelling and personally I find them totally awesome and liberating. I live in mine 24/7/365 for 5 years. Infinitely better than my old traditional lead acid power chair. I’ve only got bad memories of that !

This one on Amazon looks very similar if not exactly the same. It is $1,899 ( 1,451 pound sterling). Includes free shipping.

On Ebay USA, they show similar looking chairs for around $1,200.
