All the more reason to exercise consistently and eat mostly fresh, unprocessed food in moderate portions, especially for those of us who are seniors. We may be PWP but we have some ability to avoid diseases of obesity, giving us less chance of needed joint replacement, heart surgery, etc with the risk of deconditioning and cognitive decline.

Totally agree, it is very frustrating to live in the UK and listen to NHS problems with no expectation that obese patients will be expected to take responsibility their own health. I already was inclined to do this before I became a pwp , much to the horror of my brother who takes the position of moen t of my UK friends that if something ing will help then thE dr ..would havE suggested it. It sees type 2 diabetics treated with a pill rather than diet!!
