I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s about 10 years ago. I am 71 now and my wife is my loving and nurturing caregiver.

Tomorrow, Sunday, September 8, 2019, I will be participating in a walk (1 mile loop) at Wolfe Park. This is the first time I have ever done anything like this, but with the encouragement and support of my wife and my family, I have made a team to walk with me to promote awareness of this debilitating disease and help fund needed Parkinson’s research.

I don’t know how far I’m going to be able to go, but I’m going to push myself to go as far as I can.

Two middle school kids in the neighborhood, have gone with me to walk around the neighborhood. They have been wonderful and never once complained.

Congrats! The distance doesn't matter, it's the EFFORT that counts. Never give that up, never give in to PD!
