I built a machine to force exercise my hand/arms. This used two slow speed drills, which are normally used to mix plaster (each about £40). You need a variable power supply to change the rotation speed. An off-centre spindle is attached to the mixing rod. Placed on this a drilled wooden block which could rotate on the spindle. This arrangement worked in that I got forced exercise. But, I could never fully convince myself that it improved my PD. I only rarely use it now. I wonder how many of these partially trialed potential therapies would get into accepted use if they were given longer to show their true effect.

what about Theracycle

If you need a power-assisted stationary bike, Theracycle is definitely an option. It's a bit pricey for most of us though.

I checked with Jay Alberts and this was his response:

"Not that I know of…always wanted to try it in the non-human primates.

My reply from Jay was re Motomed. He does not recommend Theracycle.
