This is a very silly account.

“After 48 hours they discovered she had a hysterectomy for cancer “??

Maybe they should take a medical history on admission.

Maybe I missed something. I didn’t read anything about a hysterectomy, only cancer.

Not mysterious. My parkinsonism followed foot surgery. There are a number of other parkies diagnosed after foot or back surgeries. When I have brought this up to doctors they think it is just coincidence. I was perfectly healthy until my bunionectomy. I’ve seen others respond on Parkinson’s Thiamine HCL Facebook group that they have had the same experience following surgery. I have possibly seen responses here on HealthUnlocked also.

I can’t find a doctor to agree with my thinking. A number of parkies have experienced this. Have you tried the b1 HCL treatment? I take it. My symptoms have improved to the point my MDS released me back to my local neurologist. What upsets me the most is I asked to not be put under. It was a procedure that could be done with a nerve block. The anesthesiologist said she wouldn’t unless she had to. I was out before the surgery even started. I don’t think I would have parkinsonism today if she would have listened.

We are stuck with no cure. I hope someone eventually will find a connection to surgery and PD and find a way to stop it from happening.
