why do I feel so ill
For how long do you have PD?
try a course of symprove as an inefficient gut has profound effects on energy wasteage. My mum with PD trying it and it has made a difference to her energy levels and overall health
It needs a lot more information before beginning to asses the cause of your symptoms.. Have you asked a health professional? What does your doctor say?
have you been checked for Lyme disease which can cause extreme exhaustion and motivation (as does PD)
What you described sounds so familiar to me. I have discovered that I am dealing with orthostatic hypotension. In addition, I was diagnosed with afib. It has taken a while working with a cardiologist but I think I am about to turn the corner on the oozy, heavy leg, thick head feeling. Prior, to my PD diagnosis, I was dealing with the afib problem (I think it was all part of the Parkinson’s). I had gone from calcium channel blockers to beta blockers and finally to Flecainide which worked for me. Long story short, I am back on Flecainide after a change to metoprolol. I think our body’s chemistry, genetics, metabolism and sensitivities are all so unique that if you’re not feeling okay go back to your doctor until you feel okay. Obviously, feeling “okay” is all relative. I am also on the PD drugs c/l, Azilect (rasagiline), gabapentin and a low dose aspirin.
Is gabapentin for Parkinson’s?
Yes, I know what you experience. I have orthostatic hypotension and breathlessness which causes to feel as if my chest/heart/lung being crushed and can't breathe needing more oxygen. Been checked few times with ECG and over night monitoring of cardio. All normal. Very frustrating. It is more challenging than other PD symptoms.
