You could try Mucuna, that’s what I use.

High dose thiamine hcl, improvement is likely missed if one is not observant. That is why we take video record and depend on outside observers. Generally over 4 months. First week, no more constipation. One year No more micrographia.

When you say you cannot stomach it does it mean that you are vomiting? If that is the case then you could try carbidopa-levodopa CR which is a generic extended-release sinemet

I couldn't tolerate it either. It made me nauseous, and I felt drugged and sluggish. Rytary, which is a good time-released alternative works great for me. It can be expensive though.

I get so nauseous ffrom even a low dose. I also get dry heaves from it. Ruins my whole day. Right now I am off it to wash it out of my system'We will try something else and I hope it works.

Yeah, I've been there. I just saw an article today that explained that they've recently seen gut bacteria that converts the levodopa into dopamine (which can't cross into the brain). Normally, the levodopa goes into the bloodstream where it gets sent through to the brain. Once there, it is changed into dopamine. But this particular type of bacteria converts it and it can't get into the brain, so your body has too much dopamine and the brain has too little.

Not everyone has this bacteria and some have a lot of it. I don't know why Rytary works so much better for me unless the small balls inside the capsule protect against the bacteria until it's past that part of the gut? I'm not sure why, but it was like a miracle when I started taking Rytary.

Carbidopa / levodopa IR made me nauseous also. Now I am taking Carbidopa levodopa CR, which is a generic extended-release it works out well for me. Since you weigh only 97 lb I would start with a small dosage to begin with, it might work out just fine for you going by the weight.

Ahh the journey begins.

Get used to it. It takes time. I am allergic to all my PD meds. It is not easy being me and it will not be easy for you. Get on with it. Good luck

You can do it.

It has been going on for 2 years. It doesn't effect me that way all the time, only most of the time. It makes for a gross day.

Try Madopar, called Prolopa in Canada

Domperidone, recommended by my neurologist here in the U.S. but only available in Canada, got rid of my nausea in a week, so I stopped taking it and 6 years later it has never returned.

Hi campos. The only thing I know that can reverse the symptoms of Pd is FAST WALKING.

If you really want to get better, instead of taking medications that do nothing to reverse the symptoms of Pd then contact me on my website - reverseparkinsons.net. It costs nothing. I am 84 years old and have been medication-free since 2002. I took medication for 10 years. I now live a normal life.
