I see so many symptoms on here that I also have, yet never see those symptoms listed anywhere else. Has anybody on here done, or could do, a more comprehensive checklist. For example, my skin is really oily, other people on here mention that as well. I think if we had a checklist that includes every possible symptom, it might be beneficial. Thanks.

I am only 27 but at 23 I started loosing hair like crazy along with an increase in oil. I would shower twice a day and still had oily hair and scalp. I am curious if there is a connect between hair loss and the abundance of oil produced due to PD.
Well from a suggestion I got somewhere here from someone I cannot remember who - they suggested I start making a diary. So I went online and created my own with all the symptoms I could find etc. Since my husband is recently diagnosed I fill this out for each time we visit to see if the meds are making any difference. Happy to share with you or anyone else who needs it. If you see anything that should be added let me know!! Thanks.

How do I save this?. I use an iPad. I want to show it to hubby with PD tomorrow. It's almost 2am. I saw a symptom of biting inside if cheek or tongue. I do that and I think the inside of my mouth is a little puffy from a medication for Fibro. I also bite my lip. Could these be from PD meds?
You could copy and paste this to a word document if you have that on your iPad or to notebook if you have that. Or, copy and paste this to your email and email it to yourself. That may work if you don't have the other options.
Some lists are more imagination than what is really PD Tiger but yours is a good list and accurate. The only thing I wondered about is energy increased - I wish!
You may like to look at these also Tiger and Nancy This is a page with links to a number of PD questionnaires.
This is my list of what I believe are all related to my Pd. Some of these symptoms are related to lack of coordination, which manifests itself in many ways.
How can have dyskinesia? I took the list of symtoms from my book. That symptom related to involuntary movements I experienced, long before I was diagnosed. You will notice the question mark after the bracketed dyskinesia. My right elbow used to flick up in the air, mainly whilst driving but occasionally at other times. I only found out what causes dyskinesia, long after the book was written.
I've never taken any Carbidopa. There might be another cause. Maybe we should add to the checklist at some point which medicines people are on or have taken in the past. Speaking of which, I haven't gotten too far with that yet, I work full time and I am extremely tired.
My husband's "sebum" began to stain the under zip cover I put on our pillows at least 10 years ago. Dark brownish yellow. I knew something was up. He washed his hair everyday. There was just no reason for it. He was diagnosed 2.5 years ago. You guys remember the Scottish lady who can smell Parkinson's ? It's the oily sebum she can detect. I just came across this article also linking in Rosacea - which my husband also has. (Though it never gets as bad as the photo herein.) scienceofparkinsons.com/201...
My husband has flaking skin and he uses dandruff shampoo on his face while he is in the shower. This is good for flaking and rosacea also. He lathers his skin with it and lets it stay on while is in the shower. It has pretty much eliminated the flakes and reduced the redness.
I've never seen the oily skin mentioned before but my husband has that on his forehead and it goes into his eyes. I gave him a soft headband to wear. Yes, I think there's a list of symptoms on this site somewhere.
Oily skin is a classic sign of Lyme disease, or one of the coinfections with Lyme disease (e.g bartonella). Search the web for “oily skin Lyme disease. ”
If you want another long list of symptoms, I recommend chapter's 10 and 11 of Dr. Janice Walton-Hadlock's book, Recovery From Parkinson’s, which is available for free download here pdrecovery.org/recovery-fro... . Chapter 10 (pp.139-154) addresses the many specific symptoms that have a specific location in the body. Chapter 11 (pp. 155-170) addresses body-wide symptoms.
Given that Dr. Janice employs a different modality (combining Chinese medicine with information from western medicine), I think you would do well to read the rest of the book, and her other work, too.
