One of the greatest gifts you can give to a Parkie is trying to understand what he/she is going through. Fortunately those who have physical symptoms have the advantage of having someone see the issue but with the mental you get the I don't understand and I really think you are milking it.

Sean sees the money as a negative, causing people to fight for it, he thinks the wife is greedy. For Mary Kate the dowry is her birth right and a husband should stand up for her. He finally embraces the fact that as important as it is not to fight for money , his wife's love is more important. So with that thought he makes a grand gesture for the locals to see, as did my wife.

I use this example because the feelings in her head are the feelings I had in my head, everything from embarrassment to pride to euphoric.
