I have drastically reduced my diet and do not eat any sugar (outside of a bit of fruit). I like to drink cold mineral water....it makes me feel like I am having a sweet treat despite no sugar. Is there any reason I should not be drinking mineral water? It is a low mineral content one from Whole Foods. My dentist says not to drink it....something about enamel. But beyond dental worries....anything related to PD?
Thanks!

Meh. Fruits and vegetables. There is something to this. However the biggest reason for cancer rates increasing is that people are living longer. But I have also read that cancer cells need sugar to survive so perhaps a keto diet is worth it here.
I don't see anything wrong with drinking mineral water. Really, we shouldn't worry about stuff like drinking mineral water while most of the population is still eating loads of unhealthy junk food, isn't working out and doesn't care about diet at all. So mineral water is the least of those problems. I for a while keep a healthy diet and I avoid any sugar as well, of course I treat myself with some coke from time to time, but it's really rare. I rather stick to 90% clean diet that consists of healthy project and I can tell you that it has greatly improved my overall well-being and also problems that I suffer due to incontinence. As for cancer cells, they need to sugar, but in not really higher demand than any other products and organism can easily synthesize sugar from fat or proteins in a process called gluconeogenesis, therefore I don't think keto diets will stop you from developing cancer although it may slow it down in slight percentage.
