Is that actual fear of heights or dizzyness? If the latter then it may well be orthostatic hypotension which is a parkinson's symptom. I get it during periods of inactivity - sitting at my office desk after eating carbs. If the former, then don't look down!

YES. It was the awful scary moment when I wondered what is wrong with me!!!! before I knew I had PD. Vertigo is everything spinning around you. Initially it seemed connected to inner ear imbalance so that is the first place to start. I also remember taking 7 day antibiotics before my 1st episode. I haven't touched antibiotics since. Inner ear positional exercises help a lot of people. Finding the source of your vertigo may take time. Keep me posted.

My vertigo is definitely related to the inner ear crystals being out of position and is corrected by positional therapy. My question is: Does Parkinsons create more opportunities for these crystals to be out of position?

I have had the inner ear crystals out of position recently. The positional therapy worked after one treatment and I was given information on how to treat myself. My neurologist told me that the problem is not related to my PD. He said that it's age related, could return. I now sit up on the side of the bed when I first get up.
