Kneepads for PD

Hi. My husband has PD, and falls numerous times a day. He most always falls forward. I'm looking for some kind of knee pad for him. He falls on his butt some times, but mostly on his knees and arms. Now what? He has broken ribs a few times. Thankfully nothing worse.

I know this might sound crazy but it works. When your husband stands have him get in the habit of standing in a boxer's stance. Feet spread apart a few inches and one foot ( leg) set several inches ahead. If he's right handed, his left foot should be the forward leg.

Try it yourself first and then show him. When you're standing with your feet side by side try leaning forward, you'll feel like falling. But with the boxer's stance, you'll be a lot more steady.

I'll try. He's pretty stubborn. He'll probably try it once, and that'll be it. Do you get dizzy before you fall? He doesn't. He just goes down.

So far I don't have much of a balance problem but I learned the boxing stance technique in my boxing class. Hope you can persuade him! Take care.

Probably a sporting goods store. I think volleyball uses them. Also hardware store contractors wear them. I think the later would be more bulky. Will he wear them? If he is stubborn they might not get used

Hi you can get work pants used by joiners and plumbers that have knee pads that slide in to a pouch where the knee is if he is having a good day take them out

That's a great idea. Where do you get them? Are they like jeans?
