Thank you Ian for the blog on working. Being self employed in the contracting/construction world myself I know first hand what you've gone through with the renovations. I was dx with PD 11 years ago. Al was well the first number of years until meds stopped working consistently. Following a year and 5 brain surgeries due to post op infections I was able to return with a renewed feeling of control which lasted about another 5 years. What they don't tell you with DBS is the frequency of changes of PD symptoms and the programming needed to fully use the capabilities of my now on board electronics require more and more "tweaking". Wouldn't it be great If I could be a programmer and do my own brain. Imagine that can of worms!

I've enjoyed your bits on CBD oil and found it to be very beneficial to the "inside buzzing" I live with daily as well as a over all relaxant and sleep aid. I have finally dreamed (and remembered) again. I hadn't reached anything close to REM sleep in probably a decade.

Thanks for your comment. You are right about the lack of info about DBS and disease progression and requiring frequent tweaks, but I kind of assumed that was the case, knowing that it didn't affect progression...

Glad you are getting relief through CBD.

Thank you, Ian. PD made the retirement decision for me also. I loved my job. I gardened for 25 years but between the fatigue and dystonia I had to give it up. It was so frustrating to look at everything I needed to do and to know I wasn't going to be able to do it. It comes to all of us eventually. It's nice to know we're not alone.
