CBD: Has anyone taken or tried CBD edibles... - Cure Parkinson's
CBD
It helps me calm down and sleep. Perfectly legal!!
I've been thinking about it but don't where to get it , the kind, amount etc. Where did you get your info?
I think Earth Fare may sell and Whole foods and Fresh Thyme I am going to look there also,my 7 gummies were $20.00 just to test them?
I have tried the CBD edibles. They do help with the pain, although I find them more helpful for sleep, anxiety and depression. I used them when I was cutting back on my narcotic pain meds and they alleviated the withdrawal somewhat. Despite being of the generation that used drugs recreationally in the 60s, I had never tried anything until recently. I was suffering from severe anxiety and depression and my meds were just not cutting it. It has been extremely helpful.
i just looked up store selling CBD and few came up in my area.I took one gummy today for hip and elbow pain we will see??Hubby has not tried yet,I am the guinea pig!
I really don't like edibles. It is to hard to figure a dosage, and it takes about on hour before you feel results. If it is not enough you take more after an hour then hope that is not to much. I have had very good effects of vaping a concentrate in coconut oil. Each drag gives you a small equal dose and It is felt 3-5 min. latter so it's easier to dose.
The only edible I tried was THC/CBD and it was a ghastly experience until I woke up the next morning with NO TREMOR. And it stayed away til after midnight! After that, I tried CBD drops and under-the-tongue sprays with no THC and neither had any effect whatsoever. The whole business is so darn costly -- getting the clearance from the doctor then another fee for the card. And that's before you buy anything!
Only thing we can get legally in Indiana is CBD gummies or pills or oil, he tried and I did to,we did not notice anything at all?Maybe you have to take for week or so to feel effects??He also has had 4 spinal injections over 2 years and not one has had any effect on back pain, has scoliosis and arthritis bad in spine plus Parkinson's.And yes it is costly for no results at all.
I've been following this website for sometime. My boyfriend has REM sleep disorder which he has had for over 10 years and it has progressed. When he was diagnosed ( at age53 ) we were told that this is a pre-curser for Parkinson's. The only thing I've seen is that he gets more anxious and has depression which he never had when he was younger. A year ago he was put on Clonazepam to help him sleep without the dreams. He developed serious side effects and had to stop taking. Going to sleep even on the floor protected by pillows still caused us so much stress. I remember the article about HEMP OIL (CBD) and seizures. I ordered everyday advanced the strongest from Stanley Brothers in Colorado. They are the brothers who helped the young girl with seizures and created what is now known as CHARLOTTES WEB. It is expensive ($250.00 which the bottle last for a month) but has changed our life. This HEMP OIL has no THC it is used for people with seizures, PTSD, anxiety, depression, it seems to work as a neuro-protector. He takes it twice daily. He sleeps most nights without any violence. He talks in his sleep and thrashes once in awhile but wow I'm so grateful. His anxiety and depression are better. He sleeps 8 hours most nights. We live in Florida and medical marijuana is on the ballot. We're hoping that this passes so that we can see a neurologist who is certified to dispense HEMP OIL and marijuana. Again this HEMP OIL has the highest content of CBD which you cant buy at a store. We live in Florida and they are allowed to send to us here. If you have any questions please write me. I guess I wonder how many people with Parkinson's first developed REM sleep disorder. Thanks, Laura
I saw a video that someone posted on this site a while ago, and it said that 80% of people with the sleep disorder go on to develop Parkinson's.
Of course loads of people who develop Parkinson's did not start with this sleep disorder, though a lot develop it later.
Sorry I can't direct you to the video.
