Sex and parkinson's

Has anyone had increased or decreased sexual drive when taken any meds and what meds was it. I will tell my story when I receive some replies.

So reply I have a good one to tell.

Sinamet is classic for this--sex, gambling, etc

Sinamet does not do this to me I take it now with no bad affects

Mirapex is known for its sex, gambling,etc compulsions. I believe Requip and Mirapex are in the same category.

Most of what is reported about impulsive behaviour is attributed to dopamine agonists. Hardly ever do you read about sinemet causing it, but my experience is that it is a problem for some people. Changing from requip to sinemet to stop this behaviour did not work for my daughter. She also had DBS and we have been told some people experience compulsive behaviour as well.

when i was taking Requip i was 59 and having sex 3 to 4 times a night 7 days a week with my loving wife

her sex drive was also enhanced by just touching the meds when she gave them to me

this when on for almost a year

we have now been married 45 years

we have always been a sexual couple but 3 or 4 times a week was normal for us

we are now back to normal 3 or 4 times a week i am now 62 and she is 61

Thank God you're having it with your wife!!! After my husband started taking Mirapex, he was soliciting sex outside everyday! I alsmot DIED!!! We almost divorced. Doctor took him off the drug.

He is now good! Crazy meds!

i am sorry for you but you are the great one in this you knew it was the meds and you stuck by him my wife did the same thing when i gambled
