There is a wonderful speech therapist at the Parkinson Institute in Sunnyvale, CA who teaches the Silverman method. I took it and it was wonderful. I had no idea was speaking so softly.

It was marvellous. I no longer have to have my hearing checked because I ask my Parkinsoon's husband to repeat things. :)

I was one of the first to have the Lee Silverman Speech Therapy in Cornwall. This was about eleven/ twelve years ago. I hadn't realised how soft my voice had become. I had a month of one to one intensive therapy. The result was amazing, and since then, if I think my voice is "dying", I just THINK LOUD. I would highly recommend a course of Lee Silverman Therapy. I think It is infinitely more effective than intermittent visits to a speech therapists

Hi,

I also had the Lea Silverman Voice Treatment about seven years ago. It worked and I was able to deliver the "father of the bride" speech at my daughters wedding but nowadays I cannot speak.

Regards,

Weedy
