Where, in the UK, can I get Coconut Oil

I am interested in trying CO. I know very little about CO and would like comments, for or against, the benefits, or otherwise, of this oil. I would also like comments on where to purchase this oil, getting the best value for money and quality of oil. I live in the UK. Thanks for your help.

You can buy it from Waitrose and I imagine other supermarkets. I get Biona brand.

Most Health food shops sell it and you can get it on Amazon. some supermarkets now sell it too, or try an Asian shop probably cheaper there. Personally I cannot stomach it, I did take capsules with effect, but they are not available in the UK, It seems here in the UK we have not seen the light yet.

I get mine from a local Health Food Store but have also bought on Amazon. Apparently it has to be organic raw virgin for best effects. I'm having a real struggle taking it as it makes me feel sick! I think maybe you have to start with a small amount (say a teaspoon) and work your way up to several tablespoons. Good luck.

Costco sell it in large tubs.

I have given it up because of my weight and stomach measurement - but if I had noticed any improvement, I would have stayed the course

The Viridian brand is the best tasting organic raw virgin coconut oil we've tried, and its delicious (if you happen to like the flavour of coconut). It reminds us of bounty bars. We buy it at our local independent health food shop, but it can also be bought online. Be warned, it isn't the cheapest brand, but it has won awards for being voted the best. You get what you pay for.

Amazon carries organic coconut oil. I put it in hot foods and beverages (oatmeal, coffee, soups). No weight gain -- I'm on the paleo/ Dr. Teri Wahl's diet.
