I hate to be job's Comforter I knew it was Parkinsons awareness in April, but I still don't really know what it is all about and to be honest I really can't be bothered.

Life must be a struggle for many people with debilitating illnesses, so what is so special about us with PD?

I am not quite sure who we are trying to make aware of the complaint. I for certain wish my GP and neurologist was more aware of it for a start.

I reckon in the end all we can do is get on with day to day living. If one day we have a good one, then fine!

If one day we have a bad one, well thats life, bugger it!

In the end it is what we as sufferers make of it all, we can either give in or fight it.

I fullfill my life by doing the things I enjoy doing and that to me is how life should be.

I will ignore the PD as far as is possible, and thank God I can do what I can.

I agree 100%. I will continue to ignore until it gets much worse. I will live every moment with a positive attitude.

but we do nneed to maek others aware of the fact that it IS awareness week and i shall nto be able ot even think fo doing hte marathon .......ever (At ,mu age of 68 it wu dbe stupid anyway!)

I for certain will not be running either. Unless of course I was being chased, and at my age not much hope of that.

I do think it is good to make people aware of all these things, but do people really take note. or is it just another awareness of something else week?

It seems nowadays all this sort of stuff is celebrity led as if it is some sort of entertainment.

A celeb gets a disease and we all have to be made aware of it's existance.

I may just be one great big cynic I think.
