Can anyone please recommend a place or a brand to get a chair that will take me upstairs? I am looking for a small seated one .

It depends on where you live. Here Stannah is a good brand and Bruno if you want do it yourself, I personally would avoid Acorn, there are others out there. Google Stair lifts.

I have been using an Acorn stair lift for about 10 years, and have had no trouble with it. Our stairs are straight

so I do not know about how it would perform on a curved staircase. I live in the U.S. and my husband researched

several companies on the internet before he decided on Acorn, which is a British company.

do a search on Acorn stair lifts and you will find tons of negative posts, I am glad yours has worked well but they have problems and are very overpriced compared to other higher rated companies
