You should not have to prove anything to your doctor, no one takes their meds just like another, my doctor said being the nervous system it is hard to know what works and what doesn't . SO my thought is you need a doctor that believes your symptoms. I had DBS 1 yr ago and PD for 11 yrs. I am 56 yrs old I take simnet CR(time released) and a reg simnet, I can not use generic meds anymore They don't absorb in my system. MY 1st visit I was asked how I take my meds then they snapped a photo of them after They had me lay them out on a table. They they wrote my scripts for the amount I needed, This is at UW Madison Movement and disorder clinic in Madison WI ............Good Luck KADIE 57

I tried to respond ...and when I hit reply I got a 'sorry we can't find the page you want!!?' I'm almost ready to feel persecuted by the web :) (a little humour from one who has been in the battle a long time).

Hi Export.

I'm also in the UK; I have no problem seeing my GP generally, maybe you need to move to a different practice?.

Have you been referred to a Neurologist? Many areas now also have a PD Specialist Nurse, and local groups can be helpful.

My greatest help comes from my area's (North Devon) "Parkinson's UK, Information and Support worker"

OK lets take a different route, this what works for me.....100% lavendar oil used to increase balance --apply to bottom of the feet at bed time. The I stop arm spasms also- apply to arms as needed, then 100% pepper mint oil for energy and clear mind rub on wrist twice a day and inhale, try to hold the exhale . Also try coconut oil in the coffee or coconut water ( it s nasty so I eat with toast) in crease you water intake and try to sleep WALK as much as you dare stay mobile no canes, they cause falls, stay away from, sugar and high proteins never take meds without water.. hope this helps this took me several years to figure out. Good luck!! take care better days ahead!!
