I take Tylenol but don't think it does much for pain/ maybe take the edge of a bit

I can't take non steriod drugs--advil/ aleve etc or aspirin ( I think excedrin has aspirin in it. But I also have autoimmune crohns disease so that may be the reason rheum md said no NSAIDS or aspirin while on MTX. Hope that helps The pain is really a problem with RA : (

I know your liver enzymes should be checked regularly because your on methotrexate, Tylenol is heavy on the liver too, so don't over do it. Excedrin has NSAID and I think caffeine

I have been taking extra strength Tylenol, my doctor approves. It definitely helps. Take care, Penny

My doc has given me the ok to occasionally take excedrin - I take the excedrin migraine as it has fewer "extra" ingredients (never would have thought that but I am a label reader thankfully :) )

Every time I take anything with acetaminophen in it my liver enzymes go through the roof!! My doc has prescribed me RX ibuprofen for occasional use or I take Advil. I don't take steroid therapy and the anti-inflammatory I use daily is Mobic. I only take Advil on really bad days or if I have headaches that aren't migraines. If you take it, just make sure your labs are done in timely manner.
