I live in assited living want out
@skowgegan, why do you want out of assisted living. I have a friend, she is 76, and lives in assisted living. She loves it, doesn't need a car or the expense of a car. They will take her anywhere she wants to go. She can cook if she wants or can eat in the dinning area. They do her laundry or she can do it. There is organized social events or you can plan your own. Physical therapy is available as is an exercise room. She does not want to leave and be out on her own. Thank goodness we have places like this for those that want it. One should not hate where one lives. Can you do anything about your living situation? I would hope so. Good luck to you and God Bless.
