I have had a suprapubic catheter since May 2013. Blockages with sediment in the visible section can usually be cleared by manual manipulation but the last two or three inches inside the bladder are a problem. A washout will help to clear this section but will send most of the sediment back into the bladder. Is this useful? I am inclined to think it is. Nursing opinion seems divided. What do others think?

I hope someone in the group can help with this question. I am afraid that this is not something I have any background in.
