Hi Kitch97,Thank you for posting in Colon Cancer Connected. We are sorry you are having this concern.

It is pretty hard to tell from a photo what's going on. There are a lot of factors that could cause this and depending on the circumstances could be common and then may not be? It could be associated with a thrombosed hemorrhoid. How long has this been going on? Is there itching, burning, or pain associated with this?

This is obviously a concern and recommend you get it checked out by your doctor. The presence of bleeding and clots are always a sign and it is good to know the issue causing them. It may be something that will remedy itself or may require a form of treatment. Your doctor should be able to help you out.

Good luck and please keep us posted. We'll be thinking of you and hoping for good news. It's always good to share the conclusions you discover as they may help others as well.

It’s been going on around 4/5 years had two colonoscopies previously with no concerns noted. It started again on the 18th Jan where I had belly ache and needed to go straight away, there it was like blood mixed with loose stool. Couldn’t go Wednesday but every time I went after that until yesterday it was bloody with wiping clots, that was the biggest one I’ve seen.

I’ve got a appointment about my hemorroids on the 17th feb so will mention it there

I’ve dealt with the same thing since 2018! Bleeding, large clots, urge to poop. Then it goes away for months and reappears suddenly. Try increasing your fiber intake, that has helped me a lot. Lose weight as well by exercising daily.
